“Had the most amazing 4 night stay at this charming place. Quiet, lots of games at the lobby, always has it to ourselves to add, loved the dining area where it had a microwave-perfect place for eating the food we brought with us, room 6 was absolutely charming, comfy beds! spotless. Our room also had a fridge, microwave and coffee. Loved that we had Sleeping Mtn for our view-our dogs loved looking out the window. Great stay for our doggies too. I would go back. Lots of eating places next...

“The room was very private and quiet. The bed was so comfortable that I slept through the night despite my tendency toward insomnia. We were at DMI on Christmas day and the lovely owners invited us to Christmas dinner! They are the most gracious hosts.”

Well-stocked kitchen was great for making a meal or two a day, which is a good call with the somewhat limited dining options in town on Sundays / Mondays. “We had an absolutely phenomenal stay, our host was so amazing and accommodating. The locals around the town made you feel like family. The location was perfect, and the view of Sleeping lion mountain was so pristine, I loved waking up to it every morning coffee cup in hand. Even my dog was impressed at the location, I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We had such a wonderful stay, I will definitely be booking again soon.”

“This pet friendly property offered us a base camp with easy access to Davis Mountains State Park, chihuahuan desert research institute, Alpine, and Marfa. The property was well kept and the beds were comfortable. I haven’t seen a night sky that big since the Omani desert. Plenty of deer and javelinas around dusk every day. ”

“The views in this place are incredible, mountains for miles! You can see the sun rise and set from the same comfortable seat. The house is fresh, clean and nicely appointed with a well-stocked kitchen. The host was gracious and kept us informed at all times. And the location is perfect, a relatively short walk to shops and restaurants downtown, and an easy drive to McDonald Observatory. We have stayed many places in Fort Davis over the years and this place is our clear favorite. ”
